Terms of Service
Welcome to PinPx
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and PinPx Ltd (“PinPx”, “we”, “us”). They cover the PinPx app and website and everything you do on them. By creating an account or using PinPx, you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy and the filming rules shown before you record or upload. If you don't accept them, don't use PinPx.
1. Who can use PinPx
You must be at least 14, able to make a binding agreement, and not barred from PinPx by law or by an earlier ban.
Under 18 you can't receive payouts (your earnings are kept until you turn 18), send or accept paid or live requests, or see ads based on your profile or activity.
One person per account. Keep your sign-in details safe: you're responsible for what's done with your account. If you sign up for an organisation, you confirm you're allowed to bind it to these terms.
2. The service
PinPx is a map of photos, videos and live broadcasts that people film near events, with requests, sales, licences, subscriptions and messages around them. We keep developing it, so features can change, be added or be removed. We'll tell you before a change takes away something you've paid for.
PinPx isn't a news organisation or an emergency service. Footage shows what its creator filmed: we check where it was filmed, not what happened. If someone needs help, call 112.
3. Your content
You own the photos, videos, broadcasts and text you post. We don't claim ownership of them.
So that we can run PinPx, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, copy, show, play, distribute and adapt your content: for example to resize it, re-encode it, add PinPx watermarks and footage codes, and make previews and thumbnails. This lets us show it on the map, in the archive and on your profile, and to promote PinPx with it, credited to you or to “Anonymous” if you posted anonymously.
The same licence lets us license your footage to Plus and Pro subscribers and to buyers (sales, auctions, chat offers and requests). You're paid for those uses as described under “Earning” below.
We don't use your content to train AI models.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for licences already granted to others (they continue under their own terms), footage delivered for a request (kept 90 days after delivery, and for as long as a requester holds it under exclusive rights), and copies we must keep by law or for a dispute.
You're responsible for what you post. You confirm that you have the rights to post it and to give us this licence, and that it doesn't break the law or these terms.
4. People in your footage
PinPx doesn't blur faces: people you film can be seen. Respect them. Film in public places, don't target, follow or harass anyone, and follow the filming rules.
Anyone can report footage that shows them. We review every report and remove footage where privacy or data protection law requires it, or where it breaks our rules.
5. What you must not do
Using PinPx, you agree not to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- film or post in breach of the filming rules: no private property, no schools, no targeting or following people, and never put yourself or others in danger for footage;
- post violence or gore, nudity or sexual content, anything that sexualises or exposes children, hate, threats, harassment, or other people's private information;
- post footage that's misleading: old footage presented as new, a false location, or edits that change what happened;
- post content you don't have the rights to;
- impersonate anyone, or open accounts to get around a ban;
- fake views, archives, sales, bids or requests, or game the creator pool;
- scrape or collect data from PinPx without our written permission, interfere with or overload it, get around its security, or reverse-engineer it;
- remove, hide or crop PinPx watermarks or footage codes, or use downloaded footage beyond its licence;
- take deals outside PinPx to avoid its fees, or sell, buy or transfer accounts.
6. Credits, plans and payments
Credits are prepaid: 100 credits cost €10. They're used only inside PinPx, to buy clips and licences, pay for requests and tip. They can't be transferred or turned back into cash, and they aren't refunded except where these terms or the law say so.
Plus and Pro subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, Plus every month and Pro every month or every year, as you chose. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. Downloads with a PDF licence come with Pro only; those licences end when the plan ends, as each licence states. Prices are shown in the app before you pay.
Your rights as a consumer, including any right to withdraw from a purchase, aren't affected by these terms.
7. Earning
Creators earn from the monthly creator pool, from sales of their footage (60% to the creator) and from requests they answer, as explained in the app. Payouts go through our payment provider (Stripe) and need an identity check and a tax ID. Creator income may be reported to the tax authority as EU rules (DAC7) require.
We may hold back or reverse earnings tied to fraud, refunds, chargebacks or content removed for breaking these terms.
8. Requests, sales and licences
Requests: the requester sets the reward and is responsible for the request being lawful and safe. Nobody has to accept one, and nobody should put themselves at risk to answer one. The reward is held until the footage is delivered and refunded if nobody answers. Footage for an exclusive request stays private to the requester until they publish it. The requester downloads it with a licence in their name.
Sales: a clip can be sold at a fixed price or auctioned for 24 hours. The buyer has it exclusively for 30 days.
Licences: downloads come with a small PinPx logo and a PDF licence. The licence says how the footage can be used, and its terms apply on top of these.
9. Moderation, removal and your account
We may hide content while we review it, remove it, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or to protect people, PinPx or others. When we act on your content, we tell you which rule it broke. You can appeal for free within 6 months, and a different person reviews the appeal. Under the EU Digital Services Act you can also take a decision to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
10. Disclaimers
We work to keep PinPx available and safe, but as far as the law allows we provide it “as is”. We don't promise that it will always work without interruption or errors, or that footage on it is accurate, complete or safe to rely on. Content is the responsibility of whoever posted it, and we don't endorse it.
11. Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of €100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
If you use PinPx for a business or organisation, you're responsible for claims against us that arise from your content or your breach of these terms.
12. Disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus decide disputes about them. If you're a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can also bring a claim in its courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Before a change that matters takes effect, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days ahead, unless the law or a security problem needs it sooner. If you keep using PinPx after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you don't, you can delete your account.

Privacy Policy
About this policy
This policy explains what information PinPx collects, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. PinPx Ltd, Limassol, Cyprus, is the controller of your personal data.
1. What we collect
- What you give us: your account details (name, email or phone number, date of birth, password), your profile (photo, bio, home area), what you post (photos, videos, broadcasts, titles, comments, messages, requests and offers), reports, appeals and support conversations, including the help assistant.
- What we get as you use PinPx: your location (the GPS fix when you record or go live in the app, the GPS stored inside files you upload, and the area of the map you look at), your activity (what you watch, follow, archive and buy), and device and log data for security (device and browser type, IP address, app version, errors).
- What others give us: reports about your content, buyers and requesters in deals with you, our payment provider (identity and payout status), and authorities.
2. How we use it
- To run PinPx: show your footage on the map, verify footage by where it was filmed, handle payments, payouts, requests, sales and licences, and send the notifications you choose.
- To keep PinPx safe: moderation, preventing fraud and abuse, security, and enforcing our terms.
- To improve PinPx: understanding how it's used and fixing problems.
- For ads: adults may see ads based on the area of an event. Users under 18 never see ads based on their profile, age or activity.
- To meet legal obligations: tax reporting (DAC7), the EU Digital Services Act, and lawful requests from authorities.
We rely on our contract with you to run PinPx, on our legitimate interests to keep it safe and improve it, on your consent where we ask for it (such as location and notifications), and on legal obligations.
3. What others can see
What you publish is public: the footage, its title, when it was filmed, its location rounded to about 150 m, and your display name and profile. If you publish anonymously, others see “Anonymous”, but PinPx still knows it's you. Comments are public too.
Your exact position is never shown. Whether your profile shows your home area is up to you (Settings › Show my location to others).
Faces aren't blurred, so people in footage can be seen. We don't use face recognition or keep face data.
Private: your messages (between you and the other person; our moderators see a chat if it's reported or flagged for safety, for example when someone tries to share contact or payment details), and footage for an exclusive request (only the requester sees it until they publish it).
4. Who we share it with
- Companies that work for us under contract: hosting and storage, payments and identity checks (Stripe), text messages for phone sign-in, email and push notifications.
- Title ideas: when you publish, our server sends a few small pictures of your footage to our AI provider (Anthropic) to suggest titles. The place goes as a name, never your exact position, and broadcasts answering a request are never sent. Under its business terms, Anthropic doesn't use them to train its models.
- Map pictures come from Esri and OpenStreetMap: your browser asks them for the map of the area you're looking at, which shows them your IP address.
- Buyers and licensees: a licence names the creator (or “Anonymous”) and the footage code.
- Authorities: when the law requires it, or to protect someone's life or safety.
- A new owner, if PinPx is sold or merged, under this policy.
We don't sell your personal data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. Content you delete leaves PinPx. We keep some information longer where we must: payment and tax records as long as tax law requires, licence records as long as the licence lasts, footage delivered for a request for 90 days after delivery, and what's needed for legal claims, disputes or investigations.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, download, correct and delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw consent you gave. Most of this is in Settings (Download my data, Delete account); for the rest, contact us. You can complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, or to the authority where you live.
7. Transfers outside the EU
Some of the companies that work for us, such as our payment and AI providers, may process data outside the EU. When they do, we use the safeguards EU law approves, such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Young people
PinPx is for people aged 14 and over. Under 18, there are no payouts, no paid or live requests and no ads based on profile or activity.
9. Cookies and storage on your device
We use cookies and storage on your device to keep you signed in, remember your settings and keep PinPx secure. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies from other companies.
10. Changes and contact
We'll tell you in the app before changes to this policy that matter. Questions or requests about your data: privacy@pinpx.io (placeholder).
